ตอนที่ 2 สินไซเดินดง...มาจากไหน / วรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้ไม่เพียงมอบความสนุกสนานหรือความอิ่มใจจากความสวยงามทางวรรณศิลป์ หากยังแฝงเร้นไปด้วยหลักธรรมคำสอนที่มากกว่าการทำความดีละเว้นความชั่ว

ตอนที่ 3 ฝาผนังล้ำค่า / การไปชมฮูปแต้มสินไซที่วัดสนวนวารีพัฒนารามซึ่งเป็นวัดประจำหมู่บ้านหัวหนอง เดิมชื่อวัดชนวน เพราะมีต้นชนวนอยู่ ต่อมาเรียกเพี้ยนเป็นขนวน แล้วกลายเป็นสนวนในที่สุด

เหตุผล / Reason

ในหมอลำและคำกลอนจะพรรณนาถึงสังข์สินไซและสีโหกำลังนำทัพไปต่อสู้กับยักษ์ แต่ต้องเดินผ่านป่าเขาทั้งที่สวยงามและลึกลับ แฝงไปด้วยอันตราย ผมจึงเลือกจัดภาพแบบที่มองเห็นจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในตอนนี้ที่มีการเขียนจากช่างอีสานโดยใช้สีเพียงไม่กี่สี แต่ให้ความสวยงามมากในระยะที่ใกล้สายตาเรา วาดเป็นธรรมชาติครึ้มๆ สลัวๆ มีทั้งรูปต้นไม้ ดอกไม้ และสัตว์ในจินตนาการที่ซุกซ่อนตัวในป่าทำให้เกิดความงามที่ล้อรับกัน

In traditional northeastern-style, song, and Thai literature, it here was a chapter describing the main character
“Sin-Sai” move the troops to fight with titans. But his army had to propel through a beautiful forest, but filled with danger and unexpectation. I chose to illustrate this scene by using only a few colours, emphasised the beauty of the “Sin-Sai” painting, and represented the complexity of natural beauty of the forest in an imaginary-world context.
