หอมดอกผักกะแยง ยามฟ้าแดงค่ำลงมา แอ้บแอ้บ เขียดจะนา ร้องยามฟ้าฮ้องห่วนห่วน เขียดโม่เขียดขาคำ เหมือนหมอลำพากันม่วน เมฆดำลอยปั่นป่วน ฝนตกมาสู่อีสาน หมู่หญ้าตีนตับแก ถูกฝนแลเขียวตระการ ควายทุยเสร็จจากงาน เล็มหญ้าอ่อนตามคันนา รุ่งแจ้งพอพุ่มพู ตื่นเช้าตรู่รีบออกมา เร่งรุดไถฮุดนา รีบนำฟ้า ฟ้าวนำฝน ม่วนเอยม่วนเสียงกบ ร้องอ๊บอ๊บกล่อมลำเนา ผักเม็ก ผักกะเดา ผักกระโดน และผักอีฮีน ธรรมชาติแห่งบ้านนา ฝนตกมามีของกิน ฝนแล้งแห้งแผ่นดิน ห้วยบึงหนองแห้งเหือดหาย

When the evening comes,frogs murmured like Mo Lam (Northeastern style singer) pleasantly singing. Turbulent black clouds dumped rainwater to Isaan making grassland become greenish. Buffalos grazed at the soil beds on the field after back from work. Getting up early in the morning and hurriedly coming out to plow while the soil is still soaked wet with rainwater. Frogs lulling, vegetables flourishing in the nature the rural, when it rains there have something to eat. Without rain, land has dried up.

อีสานบ้านเฮา เป็นวรรณกรรมบทเพลงที่สามารถสื่อให้เห็นถึงวิถีชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ของชาวอีสานได้อย่างชัดเจน และลึกซึ้ง มีการดำรงชีวิตอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาตินั่นคือการทำการเกษตรแบบยังชีพ การปลูกผักเลี้ยงสัตว์น้อยใหญ่ แสดงให้เห็นถึงความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของธรรมชาติที่อยู่รายรอบ เช่น เหล่าพรรณไม้นานาชนิด ห้วย หนอง คลอง บึง อันเป็นสายน้ำที่หล่อเลี้ยงชีวิตของชาวอีสานสืบมา น้ำจึงเป็นปัจจัยที่สำคัญที่สุดในการดำรงชีวิต แต่เมื่อน้ำขาดหายไปในฤดูร้อนก่อให้เกิดความแห้งแล้ง พืชพรรณธัญญาหารจึงไม่สามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ เหล่าสิ่งมีชีวิตก็ดำรงชีวิตด้วยความอยากลำบาก แต่เมื่อย่างกรายเข้าสู่ฤดูฝนจึงนำมาซึ่งความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของธรรมชาติก่อกำเนิดชีวิตใหม่ ๆ ขึ้นมา ทั้งสัตว์น้อยใหญ่ หมู่แมลง พืชผัก เพื่อดำรงชีพ ชาวอีสาน ในอดีตนั้นจะเลี้ยงควายเพื่อไถนา เป็นหลัก การทำนาจึงเป็นไปอย่างช้า ๆ เริ่มตั้งแต่เช้าตรู่จนถึงมืดค่ำ ขับกล่อมด้วยการบรรเลงมโหรีจากหมู่กบ เขียด และแมลงนานาชนิด จึงทำให้การทำนาดำเนินไปพร้อมกับความสุนทรีในธรรมชาติ ข้าพเจ้าจึงถ่ายทอดความงามของวิถีชีวิตในท้องถิ่นอีสาน ในรูปแบบของงานจิตรกรรม

Isaan Ban Hao is a literature that convey the way of life of Northeast people that is clear and profound. Living with nature is doing farms, growing vegetables and raising animals. It shows the abundance of nature in the surroundings, such as various types of plants, rivers, canals, ponds, creek and brooks, which nourish lives of Isaan people. Water is the most important factor in life but when the water runs out in summer, it causes drought, refrain grain crops from growing. Livestock lives in despair. When rainy season comes, nature becomes vivid to the birth of new life, including animals, large animals, insects, and vegetation to live in Isaan people. In the past cattle raised for plowing was a principle of farming, so everything is going slowly from dawn to dusk, together with serenade from frogs, and all kinds of insects. Along with the natural beauty, I therefore convey the beauty of the Isaan way of life in the style of painting.
